Travel

We will be able to defray the costs of participants' airfare, up to two night's lodging, and meals, thanks to the Self Graduate Fellowship. Gloria Prothe (gprothe@ku.edu) will assist participants with coordinating travel plans.

If you are driving, Lawrence is just off I-70, about 30 miles east of Topeka and about 50 miles west of Kansas City, MO.

If you are flying, the nearest airport is Kansas City International (MCI). From there you can rent a car or take a shuttle to get to Lawrence. KU is about an hour away from the airport. Parking on campus is restricted on Thursday and Friday and a parking permit is required. The department can provide you with a visitor permit.
